This park can be found in East Hamden. The castle is the 1919 home of actor William Hooker Gillette, known for his role as the original Sherlock Holmes. There are walking trails throughout the castle grounds, and the Hadlyme Ferry that connects to Chester across the Connecticut River.

Lake Compounce Family Theme Park
Located in Bristol, this is considered the oldest operating amusement park in the U.S. and features a 1927 wooden roller coaster, plus a 1911 carousel. This is an 1846 Gothic-Revival style summer house popularly known as the Henry C. Bowen House, or the Pink House.
